Domestic Travel
Driving interstate with your pet is not regulated by any governing body and you may do so as often as you would like.
Airlines, however, usually require some sort of health check prior to flying with you pet. Many even require a guarantee of health status in the form of a USDA health certificate. These requirements need to be carried out by a USDA accredited veterinarian.
When you call to book, you will be asked a series of questions regarding your travel plans. This is so the team is able to confirm all of the requirements you and your pet must meet. This will allow the team to come up with an exam and treatment schedule that meets those requirements. Some require only a physical exam, others require certain vaccines to be given at certain times.

International Travel
Most countries have health requirements that must be met by each pet entering that territory. Some even require quarantine prior to admission to the territory.

International pet travel is usually met with heavy regulation and requirements as set forth by the receiving territory. It can sometimes take months to properly meet all the requirements for certain territories. Therefore, please be sure to check the timing of the various exams and diagnostics to be sure you get started early enough to meet all requirements.
